This is a shot of my houseboat that was taken for the article, but not used. I bought the paper lantern string lights online last November to add some color to my little white abode. They used to hang on my side windows, before I put up the wood blinds, but I like 'em more over the helm.

I loved your article about life on your houseboat. Bonus was that it was written by one of my favorite writers - Dominique Browning! Your life sounds wonderful and is inspiring. I live in a house, but on the Swinomish channel near LaConner, WA. I am learning about tides, full moons - whoa, and other sea water life. I moved her from a lake, so is much, much different!

Yes, great article! Congrats! I do like this picture better I think. In fact, I would like to see a wider shot involving more of your shelf area -- and I say this not simply because one of my paintings is hanging right there, but because I think it's interesting to see how you live/eat/store your belongings in that space. Having said that, your space is wonderful. It's a good sign when it's impossible to take a bad picture of your home's interior.
